Cider Syrup

So, everyone seems to have that part of the cider jug that doesn't get consumed.  It's in the back of the fridge....you are looking for something different...now's the time to try making syrup out of it.
Before it goes bad, just put it in a pot on the stove.
Cook it down to a quarter of what you started with.
Now you have a product that will keep in your refrigerator a while longer AND it's great for cooking vegetables, adding in to pies or coating up your favorite meat.  Donna emailed me that she uses it with Pork Chops.
Either way, it's something you can try with any amount you have left.
Have fun!

  1. After cooking 12 gallons of cider, I've discovered that the very BEST syrup is reduced to 1/7th it's original!
