We are already looking for summer help. We will need field help as well as first year Interns who want to learn the ins and outs of growing and selling fruit. You must be at least 16 to help with the summer harvest. We plan to have 2 shifts: 7:00-11:30 and 12:30 -5:00. We start the season mid- May with Strawberry picking and Peach thinning. Cherries, Raspberries, then Blackberries all need attention before the Peach Season begins. August is the most intense month on the farm as just about every crop becomes ready to harvest: Peaches, Blackberries and Apples as well as the Tomato crop grown in our High Tunnels.
There are also positions open for first year Interns interested in learning beyond the summer months. This is a chance to see the full cycle of the farm through the seasons. Instruction includes Pruning and helping prepare the next years' crops.
